RARE PAIR OF CAST IRON MASSASOIT FIGURAL ANDIRONS.Late 19th century New England. Each figure a full-body casing with hollow backs fitted to dovetailed log rests retaining original black paint. Note: Massasoit was the Wampanoag Chief who welcomed the Pilgrims on arrival at Plymouth, Massachusetts. His image was immortalized in the Massachusetts state seal. SIZE: 19" h x 18" d.
