EARLY CARVED OWL DECOY.Late 19th/early 20th century, New England. This full body, life sized carving of a spotted owl depicted perched on a round, capped post. SIZE: 17-1/2" h. CONDITION: The carving with dry, original surfaces, age appropriate weathered condition with age splits and paint wear. Beak and proper right front leg long absent. Early chip losses to ears. Dry rot post losses, minor, otherwise with undisturbed surfaces and good patina. 52738-27 HMG (1,200-2,200)
