EIGHT ENGLISH AND EUROPEAN SILVER ITEMS.Lot consists of; one 3" h x 3-1/2" dia covered round box hallmarked "London 1886-7" and makers mark "E B". The box having a decorated lid with seated woman and bird, the rest decorated with scrolls and shells. Continental, probably Netherlands 6" h teapot, repousse decorated with wood handle, hallmark to base, solid silver. A pair of 2" h x 4" dia double handled cups with hallmarks on side, probably French, each with two scroll handles and panels of flowers with one panel a heraldic crest. 7" continental spoon having the bowl repousse decorated with two cows in front of a building with steeple, illegible hallmarks on handle. Accompanying the spoon is an early letter explaining its marks. Along with a three piece silver plated set of mustard and two open salts all with cobalt glass liners. Weight without 3 piece set is approximately 23 troy oz. SIZE: PROVENANCE: By descent through the family of Major John Mead Gould. CONDITION: Generally good. 52936-20 WAG (400-600)
