UNUSUAL WALNUT AND CHERRY TRAY TOP SIDE TABLE.Early 19th century mid-Atlantic region. The square single board walnut top with applied molded tray edge projecting above the conforming cherry frieze. Fitted with single drawer. Raised on square splayed legs. SIZE: 27" h x 16" h x 16-1/2" d. PROVENANCE: Contents of a lifetime collection "Brook Crossing," South Pomfret, VT. CONDITION: Top with old rectangular 6" patch joined to the base with square peg construction. Old, if not original, surfaces throughout. Table apron with 1" thick stock. Pleasing color and patina.
