QUEEN ANNE CHERRY BIRDCAGE TILT TOP TEA TABLE.Second half 18th century southern New England. The circular top, hinged and swiveling on a birdcage joined to a ring-turned cylindrical standard raised on a tripod cabriole leg terminating in flattened paddle feet. SIZE: 27" h x 29-30" dia. PROVENANCE: Contents of a lifetime collection "Brook Crossing," South Pomfret, VT. CONDITION: Stabilizing brackets at underside of top have been removed. One foot broken and reattached at ankle. Second foot replaced from heel to toe. One old repair to base of pedestal at juncture to leg. Surfaces cleaned and repolished. Old insect damage, some activity possible. 52806-67 HMG (300-500)
