AMERICAN SCHOOL (19th century) FULL LENGTH PORTRAIT OF YOUNG BOY SEATED HOLDING A CROP.Unsigned oil on canvas portrait of a blue eyed boy wearing a green shirt and brown plaid skirt with lace pantaloons. He is seated on a red painted and leather upholstered chair with red velvet drapery to his left. The child holds a crop in his right hand and the string to his toy wagon in his left hand. Housed in a modern giltwood frame. SIZE: 44" x 34". Overall: 52" x 42". CONDITION: Very good, craquelure arrested by lining with only minor restoration along edges. 52829-11 AKL (2,500-4,500)
