TWO SMALL HOOKED RUGS TOGETHER WITH TWO BRAIDED EXAMPLES.Early 20th century, New England. 1) An interesting example wrought with nine orbs of various colors, marbleized diamond-shaped background with conforming light blue spandrels within a border of multiple stripes. 2) Wrought with two fruits bordered by leaf tips in shades of red and grey within a braided border. 3) An oval braided rug of typical form in dark polychrome. 4) An oval rug with a combination of braiding and hooking of multicolored stripes. SIZE: 1) 2' 7" x 3' 5". 2) 2' 3" x 2' 9-1/2". 3) 2' 5-1/2" x 3' 8-1/2". 4) 1' 10" x 3' 1-1/2". PROVENANCE: Contents of a lifetime collection "Brook Crossing," South Pomfret, VT.
