PAIR OF ORNATE GILT WALL MIRRORS.Late 19th century, France. Each with shaped mirror plate within a conforming gilt frame carved in deep relief with scrolling leafage and molded C-scrolls. Each with a prominent leafy crest and pendant C-scrolled apron. SIZE: Overall: 30-1/2" h x 17" approx w. CONDITION: Mirror plates appear original with minor foxing. Frames with light soiling and with scattered losses to leaf tips and to edges. Small shrinkage cracks visible in now stable frames. One mirror with old break at base of apron, reinforced on the backing in need of permanent reattachment. 52829-82 HMG (800-1,200)
