FINE HEPPLEWHITE TIGER MAPLE DROP LEAF TABLE.First quarter 19th century New England. The rectangular figural maple top with hinged leaves with shaped corners projecting above the conforming frieze raised on square tapered legs. SIZE: 28-1/4" h x 41" l x 20" w (closed). PROVENANCE: Contents of a lifetime collection "Brook Crossing," South Pomfret, VT. CONDITION: The single board top with minimal warping. Hinges have been slightly reset, otherwise structurally very good. The top with very strong and pronounced graining. Surfaces have been cleaned but retain good color.
