Stamped brass buckle with a deep, even, chocolate brown patina. Reverse retains all three wire hooks. Style issued to the Army of Northern Virginia which uses telegraph wire to form the belt hooks, and has a lead filling to give the plate strength and to attach the wires to the plate. CONDITION: Very good. From the Ray Bentley collection.
