Lot contains: A) British khaki undress peaked cap of a Brigadier staff officer. Scarlet cap band and a gold bullion Royal Crest Kings Crown cap badge of a staff officer. Interior crown has the maker’s logo of "Herbert Johnson, 38 Bond Street St, London W". Leather sweatband embossed "Sir H.C. Stockwell". General Sir Hugh Charles Stockwell, (1903–1986) was a senior British Army officer most remembered for commanding the Anglo-French ground forces during the Suez Crisis and his service as Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO from 1960 to 1964. CONDITION: Very good with moderate wear. Sweatband partially detached and missing a 1-1/2" by 1-1/2" section. Interior crown shows discoloration. B) British dress cap with the single row of gold bullion leaves embroidered on the visor to denote the ranks of Colonel or Brigadier. The scarlet cap band displays the gold bullion insignia of a Field Marshal. Inside has the maker’s logo of "Herbert Johnson, 38 Bond St, London W". CONDITION: Leather sweatband is partially detached. C) A khaki undress cap of a Field Marshal of an unidentified Commonwealth nation, scarlet cap band with gold bullion Field Marshal insignia on the front and with Field Marshal side buttons. The interior marked with a "Herbert Johnson, 38 Bond St, London W." logo. CONDITION: Excellent. From the Ray Bentley collection.
