Made in 1971 for H&R centennial, with less than 10,000 made, it is a copy of the Springfield Officer's Model 1873. Gun has rifled barrel marked with H&R address on right and "U.S. Model 1873 CAL. 45-70 GOVT" on left. Case hardened action, tang windage sight, buttplate, barrel band and trigger guard. Engraved pewter nose piece and wooden cleaning rod. Checkered walnut stock with "P" in circle proof. Lock marked U.S. Springfield with spread eagle. Floral engraving on lock, action, buttplate and trigger guard. CONDITION: Barrel retains 98% original blue with small handling marks. Bore is near mint. All case hardened parts exhibit 98% original case. Stock has 98% original finish with handling marks and a small gouge on left side of tang. Checkering is sharp. Mechanically sound and functions fine.
