Features full round barrel, two barrel bands, front band with two rings, internal rod bayonet, 1884 rifle sight, case colored block, swivel at trigger guard, serrated trigger, and full length walnut stock. Buttplate stamped "US". "SWP 1891" cartouche on left side of stock. Cursive "P" on wrist. Top of barrel stamped with "A". "VP" eagle head proof on left side. Block is stamped "US MODEL 1884". "US SPRINGFIELD" with eagle on plate. CONDITION: Barrel retains 90% original factory blue with patina showing through and some light age freckling. Both barrel bands have slight pitting and wiped-on finish. 30% original blue on block and tang. Sideplate has 75% original blue. Hammer has some wiped-on finish. Trigger guard is pitted with some finish added. Excellent stock with some added varnish. Strong, clean rifled bore with shiny grooves. Fine action.
