Lot contains: A) Lt. General Joseph W. Stilwell's World War II Four Star General Car Flag. Made of red wool with four embroidered general's stars, 5-3/4" by 10-1/4". Accompanying the flag is a notarized letter from Stilwell's granddaughter stating the flag was passed down to her from her mother Alison Stilwell Cameron. CONDITION: Flag and letter are in excellent condition. B) Stilwell's 1911 Infantry Drill Regulations, the inner cover displays a printed bookplate with a coat of arms, military motifs and "Joseph Warren Stilwell". CONDITION: Book shows moderate use. C) Campaign Hat originally purchased from a Navy Relief Fund Auction sometime prior to 1946. This example was made by Stetson and bears the mark of the Fort Bragg Post Exchange on the sweat band. "Stilwell" is written in ink under the brim. A sterling Colonel's eagle is pinned to the crown of the hat. Stilwell was promoted to full Colonel on August 1, 1935 and was later promoted to Brigadier General in late 1939, so this hat presumably dates from the 1935 to 1939 time period. CONDITION: The sweat band is well-worn, indicating heavy use by Stilwell. The hat is in overall excellent condition, complete with officers' hat cord. D) 8" by 10" photograph of Stilwell with the Consul of Greece in San Francisco. CONDITION: Very good. E) November 13, 1944 issue of Time magazine with General Stilwell on the cover. CONDITION: Magazine is in poor condition. From the Ray Bentley collection.

Item Dimensions: Largest : 14" x 11".
LOT OF 5: ITEMS BELONGING TO GENERAL JOSEPH STILLWELL.
