Gun (A) Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine manufactured 1915. Features round barrel, full magazine, blued finish, twin bands, post front sight with replaced blade, folding ladder carbine rear sight, saddle ring and stud, walnut stocks, and carbine butt. CONDITION: Barrel and tube retain approximately 90% or better original factory blue. 70% original blue on rear band, 10% on front. Frame is turned a beautiful soft chocolate brown with bright blue loading gate and flashes of original blue under saddle ring. Walnut stocks are excellent, proud to metal with no cracks. There is an added rear swivel on toe of butt. Brown patina buttplate. Fine rifled bore with frosted grooves. Gun (B) is Marlin Model 1889 Saddle Ring Carbine manufactured 1893. Features full round barrel, full magazine, twin bands, post front sight, carbine ladder rear sight, saddle ring and stud, blued finish, walnut stocks and carbine butt. CONDITION: Metal retains approximately 90% of the reapplied blued finish with very good legends. Wood has been refinished and is shy to metal but otherwise excellent. Fine action. Well-pronounced rifling, sharp with frosted bore. Total production of the 1889 carbine was 8,685.
