Lot contains: A) British Artillery Optical sight, polished brass body marked "Director No 7 Mark 5/ H.W.L. 461/ O.S. 1815 G.A.", Housed within its original metal case which contains a few accessories. CONDITION: The leveling tube is broken, optics show a few spots. B) RAF Type P4A brass aircraft compass with a 6-1/2" diameter. CONDITION: Appears to be functioning and in very good condition. C) British Royal Navy Type 06 hand held compass measuring 9" high. Wood handle, brass body marked "Type 06/ AFT/ No10855H/ AM(Crown)". CONDITION: Appears to be functioning and in very good condition. D) U.S. Army Model 1914 Service Buzzer, telegraph key set contained within its leather case embossed "Service Buzzer/ Signal Corps US Army/ Model 1914". Inside lid displays instructions and contract tag dated March, 1918. CONDITION: Instrument is in excellent condition, leather case shows moderate service wear. E) World War I U.S. Army Mark 1-A Bomb Sight, brass instrument, measuring 17", painted green. Housed in its original wood case containing accessories. Case is stenciled on the cover "Bomb Sight Mark 1A/ Serial No 75 Lot No 10/ Mnfd By/ Edison Phono Wks/ Orange N.J." CONDITION: Instrument is in excellent condition, case exhibits moderate wear. F) Type G-1 USAAF Air Speed Computer, Lucite disk with an 8" diameter, contained within its original cardboard folder dated May 1 1945. CONDITION: Excellent condition. G) U.S. Navy Mk1 Torpedo Speed Computer, lucite with a 3-1/2" diameter, contained within its original leather pouch. CONDITION: Excellent condition. H) Load Adjuster for the B-17G, 12" slider rule instrument contained with its original leather case. CONDITION: Excellent. I) Bound compilation of photographs entitled "Pictorial Survey of Barrage Balloon Production Facilities", measures 9" by 11-1/2", produced by the Goodyear Rubber company during World War II. CONDITION: Very good. From the Ray Bentley collection.
