Gun (A) is a Model 1893 saddle ring carbine. Features round barrel, full magazine, twin barrel bands, post front sight, ladder rear sight, saddle ring and stud, walnut stocks and carbine butt. CONDITION: This untouched, old 1893 is basically smooth patina with sharp legends. Stocks are proud to metal, in excellent shape with usual dings. Fine action. Rifling is visible but cloudy. Gun (B) is a Marlin Model 1895 rifle. Desirable large frame Marlin in popular caliber that features full octagon barrel, full magazine, sporting sights, blued finish, walnut stocks and Marlin black composite shotgun buttplate. CONDITION: Barrel and tube retain approximately 95% of the reapplied blued finish with sharp markings and edges. Frame was refinished in black and is starting to chip but the markings are sharp. Wood is very good to excellent and proud to metal. Good action. Strong rifled bore with light abrasions. The scarce rifle is solid and should shoot fine as is but would be a great example for restoration as everything is sharp. Whoever refinished it did not over-buff it. This rifle deserves to be brought back to life.
