Both rifles feature twin barrel bands, post front sight, military rear sight and full length walnut stock. The block on Gun (A) is stamped "MODEL 1873 US" with eagle. "VP" eagle proof on left side of barrel. Cartouche not visible. Sideplate reblued and hand stamped "1873". CONDITION: Balance of metal is patina with some wiped on finish. Stock is refinished. Strong rifling with usual black powder abrasion. Gun (B) is Model 1884 Cadet rifle. Block is stamped "US MODEL 1884". Features the 1884 rear sight. Cleaning rod instead of rod bayonet. CONDITION: Wood has been refinished with no visible cartouche. Stock retains the majority of its reapplied finish. Very pronounced rifling with black powder abrasion.
