For whatever reason, maybe because the .41 caliber was offered in the Model 1877, .41 caliber Armies are more difficult to locate, especially with condition. This revolver features all matching numbers with the exception of the proper style gutta percha grips that are numbered to another gun. CONDITION: The barrel retains approximately 30% original factory blue blending perfectly with a soft gun metal patina. Housing has a similar appearance in the recess. Cylinder retains approximately 70% original blue, blending in the same pleasing manner as the barrel. Left side of frame has approximately 30% original case colors; right side of frame retains approximately 60% case colors, some bright. Hammer has 85% case colors on both sides. Straps are soft, grey patina. Grips are cracked on the right panel but well-fitted. Indexes and locks up like a new revolver. Bore exhibits strong lands and grooves. It is evident that this revolver was well cared for.
