Offered is an early, desirable Thunderer. Features nickel finish, six shot, double action and black gutta percha grips. All matching numbers. Caliber is stamped left rear trigger bow. Two line address on top of barrel. CONDITION: Cylinder flutes have some freckling. No visible etched panel on barrel. Finish loss to muzzle. Some dulling and light freckling on frame. Overall still retains a solid 85% factory original nickel with fire blue on back of hammer. Original style rubber grips are a little shy at frame and probably period replacements. Indexes and locks up properly. Bore exhibits strong lands and frosted grooves. Factory letter states serial number 46741 was part of a shipment of five guns, shipped October 10th, 1883 to one of the largest dealers on the Barbary Coast in the rare .41 caliber with 2-1/2" barrel and nickel finish; grips not listed which would indicate standard rubber.
