This early Colt Commercial features checkered wide spur hammer, long smooth trigger, straight mainspring housing with loop, diamond truncated checkered walnut grips, checkered slide stop and safety, blued and pinned two toned tempered magazine. August 19th, 1930 last patent date on slide with standing pony at rear. Stamped on right side "COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBRE 45". Barrel shows no marks or stamps of any kind. CONDITION: Straps are grey patina. Overall high edge wear on frame and trigger guard; still retains over 70% original blue. Slide also retains approximately 70-75% original blue with razor sharp legends. Balance blending with grey patina. Grips are excellent, showing light wear. Used but well-cared for early Commercial 1911.
