This is an early British Webley-Pryse style hinged frame double action revolver. Revolver features six shot, double action, high polish blue finish, top break, double lever release, checkered grips with metal butt and lanyard and flip out bayonet with locking pin. Barrel is stamped "BRITISH ARMY REVOLVER". Left side of frame is stamped "JOINT PATENTS STANTON & CO." with British proofs. CONDITION: Straps and trigger guard are grey patina, balance retains approximately 75% brilliant original English blue with light freckling. Fine action and perfect lock-up. Strong rifling and mirror bore. Housed in a period wooden display case with John Blanche & Son trade label. Includes metal cleaning rod and partial box of Knoch ammunition. Hinges and screws replaced, lining partially replaced. Beautiful, rarely seen large bore bayonet revolver.
