One of the 300 guns in this series left unengraved for later custom work. This gun has two sets of barrels, 26" and 28", both 20 gauge, and with gauge and chamber markings on sides of left barrels. Parker Reproduction by Winchester information is marked on unmatted portions of concave game ribs. Barrel flats and lumps have all correct markings, with 26" barrels choked "Q 1" and "Q 2", and 28" barrels "Mod" and "full". There are 3" triangles of exceptionally well cut rose and scroll engraving on breech ends of both sets of barrels, enhanced by a gold line inlay. There are also bands of scroll around muzzles. 0 Frame is nicely filed in "A-1 Special" style with chevron on top lever and three beads around fences. Action has been custom engraved with near full coverage well cut and shaded classic English type rose and scroll. "PARKER BROS" is in gold on bottom. Serial number is in gold on trigger guard tang. Engravers signature "R. Strosin" (master engraver) and the date "2015" are on trigger plate. (Included is an invoice and certificate of engraving from Robert Strosin for this engraving and custom finishing, which totals $7120.00.) Well marbled European walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14 - 1/4" over nicely engraved skeleton steel buttplate. Butt checkering has fleur-di-lis intrusion. Stock also features sunken checkered side panels with carved fleur-di-lis drop points, and fancy pattern, very closely spaced checkering around grip, which has flares into comb. Rosewood grip cap has rose and scroll engraved gold oval in bottom. Matching splinter ejector forend has typical Parker releases, and services both barrel sets. Gun and barrels are housed in good quality tan leather case with stitched leather corners, which has leather trimmed reddish canvas outer cover. Case is lined in burgundy cloth, and has Parker Reproduction label in lid. Case contains cleaning equipment, snap caps, and square oil bottle. Also included are two white cardboard boxes with end labels for this gun and its 26" barrels. CONDITION: Excellent, essentially as new after custom finishing, with only a few minor light marks, mostly from assembly, in all finishes. Mechanically excellent. Case and cover are excellent.
