One of the 300 A 1 Special guns not finished at the factory, and slated for custom engraving. It is unknown how many two barrel sets were produced. This gun has 26" and 28" barrels with 26" barrels choked "Q1" and "Q2", and 28" barrels choked improved cylinder and modified. All correct factory markings are on barrel ribs, sides, flats, and lumps. 1 - 1/2 Frame fitted with automatic safety and single selective trigger, is classically filed with chevron on top lever, and three beads around fences. Very fine well marbled European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14 - 1/4" over checkered steel buttplate. Checkering on butt has fleur-di-lis intrusion. Stock is embellished with sunken checkered side panels, having relief carved fleur-di-lis, fleur-di-lis drop points and closely spaced very fancy pattern checkering which wraps over top of grip and has flares into comb, and crenelated border along rear. A vacant gold oval is on toe line. Matching splinter ejector forend has Parker type release. Gun comes with its original white cardboard box with correct end label, and another box for 26" barrels. CONDITION: Excellent, unfired since proof, and with some of its original packaging. Boxes are fine. A rare example of these incredible artifacts. A chance to acquire one may never rise again. MGM 9
