Red Cross Leader Dagger with correct hangers and army pattern portepee. These daggers were commissioned in 1938. The overall condition of the dagger is near mint. The unmarked blade of the dagger is in near mint condition showing excellent cross graining and only a few very small superficial marks. The silver plated fittings are in near mint condition, with no lifting to the plating and only a few signs of honest wear. The orange synthetic trylon grip is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. One side fo the grip is a darker orange than the other from the effects sunlight has on the trylon. The silver plated scabbard is in near mint condition, showing only minimal freckling. The correct hangers for this dagger are also in near mint condition. The hangers exhibit no fraying or tears, and a few scattered marks on the reverse side of the cloth strips. The hangers aluminum fittings are crisp with a few scattered light marks. The army style portepee is in excellent condition with only minor signs of wear and no fraying. An honest and clean Red Cross Leader Dagger with correct hangers to complete.
