TENO JR Hewer with correct vertical hanger. The TENO JR Hewer was introduced in 1938 as a hewer for TENO subordinates. The overall condition of the hewer is excellent. The nickel plated, hewer style blade, is in excellent condition with minor runner marks and striping near the cutting edge. The maker's logo is neatly etched on the reverse ricasso area, and the blades number on the front of the blade reads "9705". The nickel plated zinc fittings are in excellent condition, retaining 85% to 90% of their plating and some of their original dark oxide burnishing to the lower areas of the eagle cross guard. The scabbard is in near mint condition, with 99% of its black factory paint intact and the same amount of plating to the nickle plated steel fittings. The scabbard throat is stamped with the corresponding number, "9705", on the dagger blade, making this dagger a correct matching set. This set also comes with the correct leather hanger for this hewer. The leather hanger is in excellent condition with only a few areas of wear on the higher points. The leather strap which secures the blade to the hanger has broken where the stud slit is, but is still full length. The metal clip is in working order and bears the stamp "A" for the manufacturer Assmann. This is a great opportunity to own a complete matching example of the TENO JR hewer in excellent condition.
