24" Barrel marked "MADE IN BELGIUM" has proofs and caliber at left rear. Model 98 Large ring action with solid side wall has makers name and address on left and FN logo on receiver ring. Action is fitted with Redfield receiver sight. Polished bolt has low scope safety. Bottom metal has floorplate removal button at rear. Relatively plain European walnut capped pistol grip stock has swept right hand cheekpiece, and is nicely checkered at grip and forend. Stock measures 13 - 3/4" over Browning composition buttplate with name removed. CONDITION: Very fine. Metal parts retain over 70% original blue, with some scattered marks and pitting. Wood also has numerous marks in its original dry finish. Bore appears to be excellent, but is dirty. Action is smooth. Rifle is fitted with leather sling. MGM31
