These highly regarded and sought after rifles were made between 1946 and 1956. This example was made in 1949. 21" Barrel holds one standing, one folding leaf rear sight with sleeved-on sling eye and front sight base. Double square solid side wall Mauser type small ring action has scope mounting dovetails milled into bridge and receiver ring. All correct markings on barrel and action. Bolt has butter knife handle and shroud with low scope safety. Bottom metal has removable floorplate with release button at rear, and is fitted with double set triggers. Plain European walnut half stock with right hand cheekpiece and schnabeled forend tip, is checkered at grip and forend. Plastic grip cap and checkered plastic buttplate have shrunken. CONDITION: Very fine. Metal parts have over 60% blue. Wood has about 40% original varnish. Bore is excellent. Action is smooth. Set triggers work. MGM29
