Lot Contains: (A) Brass Hilt Dove Head Sword, (B) Engraved Blade NCO Dove Head Sword, and (C) Plain Blade NCO Dove Head Sword. (A) The brass hilt dove head sword is in overall near mint condition. The "WKC" marked, chrome plated, 31-1/2" blade is in near mint + condition. The gilded brass hilt and black trylon grip are in near mint condition, with only light dust settling in the recesses of the wire. The black painted steel scabbard retains roughly 90% of its original black paint. There is a date scratched into the paint of the scabbard which says " April 26 1945". This sword also has a green leather sword knot tied to the cross guard area, and a brown leather vertical sword hanger. (B) The Engraved Blade NCO Dove Head Sword is overall in excellent condition. The "Carl Eickhorn" maker marked, 31-1/2", chrome plated, engraved blade, is in excellent condition. The blade is acid etched for "Artillery Regiment No. 22" one side, and the opposing side features horse mounted artillery motif. The blade has nicks along the length of the blades cutting edge. The silver plated, white metal grip hardware and hand guard, are in excellent condition. These show a light nicotine patina to the silver and some lifting of the plating. The wire on the black trylon grip has become loose. The hilt hardware has some play in the fittings. The black painted steel scabbard retains approximately 85% of the original black paint. (C) The Plain Blade NCO Dove Head Sword is overall in excellent condition. The 34", chrome plated blade is maker marked for the firm "Carl Eickhorn", and is in near mint condition. The silver plated, white metal hand-guard and hilt are very good condition with scattered light marks and some freckling throughout. There is a white residue in the recesses of the grip wire from a cleaning agent, and a crack in the black trylon grip. The black painted steel scabbard is in very good condition overall with approximately 75% of the original black paint remaining.
