Lot contains: (A) Field Marshall Series Sword "Lutzow", and (B) Field Marshall Series Sword "Prinz Eugen". The Field Marshall Series Swords were a special sword series produced exclusively by the firm of "Carl Eickhorn, Solingen", to commemorate German Field Marshall's and iconic figures from Germany's past. (A) The "General Lutzow" sword is overall in near mint condition. The beautiful chrome plated, 30", "Carl Eickhorn" maker marked blade is in near mint + condition. The solid brass hilt and hand guard are decorated with laurel leaves and a large Third Reich eagle clutching a swastika on the grip area. The black trylon grip is wrapped with a twisted wire. The hand guard, hilt, and grip area are in very fine condition. The black painted steel scabbard retains nearly 98% of the original black paint and has only a few light superficial marks. (B) The "Prinz Eugen" series sword is in overall near mint condition. The beautiful 30", chrome plated, "Carl Eickhorn" maker marked blade is in near mint plus condition. The hand guard and hilt are brass based, and silver plated with a very thin gold lacquering or wash on top. The grip is made of black trylon and is decorated with twisted wire. A small crack to the black trylon exists near the pommel area. The condition of the hilt, hand guard, and grip are excellent. The black painted scabbard is in near mint condition, with a few scattered light marks and roughly 95% of the original paint remaining.
