Lot contains: (A) Model 1860 "Staff and Field" Officer's sword, (B) Model 1850 Navy Officer's sword, and (C) Model 1860 Cavalry saber. (A) Model 1860 "Staff and Field" sword with a 30" double etched blade made by "Florstmann & Sons" in overall very good condition. Double etched blade has two 13" panels marked with the maker and U.S. national emblem, in very good condition with scattered marks and freckling. Brass fittings and wire-wrap grip are in very good to excellent condition, with the top 1" of the grip missing. Steel scabbard and brass fittings are very good, with freckling and patina throughout. (B) Model 1850 Navy sword with a 28" blade marked "W.C.Miller" in overall good condition. Nickle plated double etched blade has two 16" etched panels, and is in overall very good condition, with scattered marks and freckling throughout. Leather scabbard with steel fitting are in fair condition, with a 4" section of leather missing in the center. (C) Model 1860 Cavalry saber with a 32" unmarked blade is in overall very good condition. Blade is slightly bent at the half way point, and is in very good condition with scattered marks and light freckling. Brass fitting and wire-wrapped grip are in good to very good condition, with a number of leather pieces between the wire strands missing. Steel scabbard has a small dent near the throat and has patina and freckling throughout. Leather hanger straps are present.
