This Third Reich SS Officers Degen is, overall, in very good condition. The unmarked, 32-1/2" blade is in very good condition, with light graying, and freckling throughout. The hand guard and ferrule fittings are in very good condition with an even patina. The top pommel nut spacer has been glued in place. The wire wrapped, black, wooden grip shows a natural wear pattern. The grip shows a few chips near the SS grip emblem. The black painted metal scabbard appears to have been repainted at some point. The scabbard has a few random scattered light marks with freckling, and there is a very small crease roughly a third of the way down the scabbard from the throat end. This Degen has an original silver SS sword knot attached. The knot shows signs of wear with some fraying to the lower portion of the cord, as well as over the runes on one side of the knot.
