Lot contains: (A) Third Reich Silver SS Lion Head Sword and (B) Police EM/NCO Sword. (A) The Silver SS Lion Head Sword is in, overall, near mint condition. The chrome plated, 32" blade is marker marked for the company "Puma". The blade is in near mint condition and has a few small nicks to the cutting edge. The aluminum hand guard and hilt are in near mint condition. There are engraved SS runes on the hand guard's shield, and the lion head features red glass eyes. The black synthetic grip is wound with wire and is near mint. The black painted steel scabbard retains approximately 95% of its original paint. (B) The EM/NCO Police Sword is in, overall, excellent condition. The 31-1/4" steel blade is maker marked for the firm of "Carl Eickhorn". The blade has a few scattered light marks from the scabbard. The silver plated steel hand guard, ferrule, and pommel nut are in excellent condition with even patina and some lifting of the plating on the cap. The black ebony grip is in excellent condition with some white residue in the recesses of the grip. The grip police eagle is made of zinc and has lost all of its finish. The black painted steel scabbard retains 90% of its original black paint and has a few small dents and scattered light marks throughout. The upper scabbard throat is SS proof marked.
