According to the PGCA Letter, this rare gun was ordered by James McLaughlin of Seattle Washington in April 1907. It features 34" Titanic Steel barrels and the order for the gun was placed by A.W. du Bray. The gun is a No. 2 frame with an unstruck barrel weight of 4lbs 11oz. The gun was originally ordered with no safety, 2-3/4" chambers, 4lb trigger pulls, and a weight of 8lbs 30z. The barrels were at one time fitted with an aftermarket ventilated rib which has subsequently been removed. There is evidence of this with small plugged holes all the way down the top rib. The rib extension near the breech has been replaced and there is a new white front bead. The rib has the usual rib matting and markings. The action is engraved in standard DHE pattern with pointer on left, setter on right surrounded by scroll engraving. The straight grip buttstock is checkered in a three point pattern. The splinter forend is checkered in standard DHE pattern with Deeley release and engraved steel tip. There is a large unengraved silver oval near the toe. The triggers appear to have been checkered, and the top lever has been blued. Accompanied by a PGCA letter identifying this gun and giving additional history. CONDITION: Very good as refurbished. The barrels retain about 90% of an older restored finish. The rib has been repaired as noted above and does ring true. There is some evidence of older repaired dents towards muzzle ends. Action has been recolor hardened in a cyanide finish that has aged back to about 80%. Buttstock and forend are sound and retain nearly all of an older restored finish. Mechanics are fine, bores are very good. According to the Parker Story, Parker made just 163 D Grade guns in 12ga with 34" Titanic Barrels. CORRECTION: Gauge has been changed to 12 Gauge.
