Made between October 1943 and March 1944. Barrel correctly marked IBM Corp. and dated 10-43. Stamped front sight marked "PO-Q" and "S" marked rear flip sight. Smooth unmarked push safety and magazine release. All internal parts consistent with date of manufacture. Oval cut high wood with correct two rivet shallow groove hand guard and type one band. Buttstock marked with crisp Ordnance wheel cartouche on right side and sling-well stamped "Q-RMC". Action has blued flat bolt. CONDITION: Barrel exhibits 95% of original arsenal milled finish with several spots missing finish. Bore is excellent. Action retains 95% original arsenal finish with minute edge wear. Hardware retains 95% arsenal finish. Highwood stock exhibits outstanding original finish with light handling marks. Action and mechanics are excellent.
