Early Type One Inland Carbine with early flip sight with chisel stake marks and proper 2 rivet shallow channel handguard. Proper and correct 11-43 Inland Div. marked barrel.Made between September 1943 and February 1944. Correct front sight marked "N" with correct rear flip sight marked with a "S". Correct type one band and swivel marked "UI". Internal parts all consistent with date of manufacture. Very fine oval high cut buttstock. Stock has crisp ordnance wheel cartouche on right side of stock and "P" in circle proof on pistol grip. Oiler marked "BK", a World War II contractor. Comes with woven sling. CONDITION: Barrel has 98% remaining original arsenal finish with an excellent bore. Action retains 98% original arsenal finish. Front sling swivel has faded to brown patina with some oxidation. Buttplate has finish fading to brown patina with some pitting. Left side of stock has several dings in wood and one on the underside from carry wear. Over 90% original arsenal finish remaining on the stock. Mechanically sound and functions fine.
