This outstanding World War II production Winchester M1 Carbine is about as fine an example as can be found. Made between December 1943 and November 1944. Correct Winchester proof on undated barrel. Correct early flip sight without stake marks and with correct front sight. Early blued flat bolt. "EW" marked safety button with "M" marked clip release. Internal parts marked consistently with Winchester production. Stock marked with crisp ordnance wheel and W.R.A. over G.H.D. on right side with oval stock cut for oiler and four rivet forearm piece. CONDITION: Barrel retains 98% of original arsenal finish with an excellent bore. Action and hardware retain 98% of original arsenal finish. Stock has 98% original arsenal finish with sharp cartouches and light handling marks. Missing magazine. An outstanding example that would virtually impossible to improve upon.
