Gun (A) was manufactured in 1902. Features six shot, double action, blued finish and black checkered composite grips. According to our consignor, this gun has been in his family since 1930 and owned by our consignors’ grandfather. His grandfather was a lawman in the Dakotas, and this gun was owned by a criminal intent on taking the lawman’s life. The lawman spun around, and disarmed the would be assassin, and used the gun as a hammer to knock out the villain. Hence, the cracked grip! CONDITION: Sharp three line barrel address and caliber marking on right side. All original parts with the exception of missing ejector rod head. As far as finish, 10% remains; otherwise smooth grey. Frame screws are all marred. Grips are worn and left one is cracked. Indexes and locks up like new. Strong, bright and shiny bore. Decent shooter but could use a restoration. Gun (B) was made from 1915 to 1942. Built on the square butt target K frame with five screw, six shot, fluted cylinder, double action revolver. According to our consignor, this gun was given to a Navy CB as a sidearm prior to WWI. CONDITION: Still retains approximately 98% of its original factory finish. Bright case colors on hammer and lever. Near mint diamond checkered walnut grips numbered to gun on right panel. One little rub area on cylinder where gun sat. Near mint bore and action. The Colt comes with a holster and belt and the Smith & Wesson includes just a holster.
