This 1st Model Martial Dragoon has full or partial matching numbers on the frame, barrel, trigger guard, backstrap and loading lever; not visible on cylinder. Left side of frame is stamped "COLTS PATENT US". You will find the "K" inspector stamp on the trigger guard. New York barrel address running from breech to muzzle. Features German silver front sight, wind drift rear sight, brass square back trigger guard and brass backstrap, and original walnut grips. CONDITION: Barrel retains approximately 90% of the reapplied blued finish. No case colors on lever, it too has been blued. Reapplied case colors on hammer. Frame has been refinished. Cylinder has all original nipples and oval stops; no visible cylinder scene and 90% of the blue-grey reapplied finish. Barrel address is sharp. Grips have been repaired on right panel at frame and putty repair at left panel. All frame screws are marred. Wedge is a replacement. Indexes but is a click off-time. Strong rifled bore with some pitting. Nice example of a rare refinished Martially marked Dragoon.
