Full or partial matching serial numbers on frame, barrel, trigger guard, backstrap, cylinder post and wedge. No serial number on cylinder. This revolver is martially inspected and cut for a shoulder stock. Numerous US inspector stamps. One piece walnut grips with visible but not readable cartouche. CONDITION: Sharp barrel address. Barrel has been cleaned to gun metal with some light pitting at base. Rebated cylinder has Naval engagement scene partially visible, military inspected "HP", original nipples and all safety pins visible but flush. Cylinder has no finish and is gun metal grey. Frame has turned a grey-brown patina with sharp stamp. Brass trigger guard stamped with "H". Steel backstrap stamped with "H" with no finish. Grips are very good to excellent. Indexes and locks up tight. Bore has well-defined grooves but not shiny and has some minor black powder pitting.
