One of the most powerful big game bolt action rifles available in America at the time. Features the old J.P. Sauer action, built in Germany for Weatherby of California. Features ported heavy barrel, no sights, blued finish, single trigger, fully checkered bolt knob, jeweled bolt with oil grooves, deluxe walnut stocks, diamond skip checkering, rosewood forend tip and grip cap, rollover left side cheek piece, Weatherby style radical Monte Carlo stock, Weatherby red waffle recoil pad. White diamond inlay on grip cap. This rifle was topped with an original Weatherby Imperial 4x81 scope with steel Redfield top screw mounts; scope has standard crosshairs with good optics. CONDITION: This rifle is in near new condition inside and out. Engraved on floorplate "WEATHERBY CUSTOM" with nearly all high polish blue finish and some light age freckling. Wood is near mint with a couple minor impressions. Early German quality rifle capable of taking down the world's most dangerous game. From the collection of Jason Roselius.
