These early rifles were built on the FN Mauser action in Germany and shipped to Roy Weatherby's shop where they were fitted and finished. This is a very early four digit serial number from the early 1950's. Features full round barrel sans sights, factory high polish blue finish, dark high gloss walnut stock with standard hand checkering, walnut forend tip and grip cap, left side rollover cheek piece with rakish Weatherby Monte Carlo comb and red Weatherby waffle recoil pad. Sports adjustable Bausch mounts and Balvar-8 scope with no external adjustments and standard crosshair optics. Comes with lens covers and a sling. CONDITION: Overall, right is in near new condition inside and out. Very handsome, early, near mint Weatherby getting extremely difficult to find in this condition.
