Gun (A) Manufactured 1919. Features round barrel, full magazine, twin bands, post front sight, ladder rear sight, saddle ring and stud, blued finish, walnut stocks and carbine butt. Buttplate is stamped "NYST 186" for New York State Trooper inventory number 186. CONDITION: This little rifle has seen very little use. Barrel and tube retain approximately 85-90% original factory bright blue with scattered handling marks and muzzle wear. Razor sharp legends. Frame retains approximately 90-95% original blue with just minor scattered handling marks. Lever retains approximately 70% blue with some flaking at base. Walnut stocks are excellent, proud to metal with some minor impressions. Strong, clean rifled bore with slightly frosted grooves. Action is like new. This rifle probably rode around in an old Model A police car and saw very little use. Gun (B) is a Colt Official Police double action revolver. Stamped on backstrap "NYST" for New York State Troopers but was manufactured quite a bit later than the Winchester in 1957. Features six shot, double action, blued finish and checkered walnut grips. CONDITION: Barrel shows quite a bit of holster wear, as does cylinder and top strap, but has seen very little use. Easily 75% or better fine original blue. Sports checkered medallion walnut grips that are near mint. Fine bore and action. Interesting pair of rarely seen New York State Trooper firearms, one from the Roaring 20's and one from the 1950's. From the collection of Jason Roselius.
