This Martially marked Navy was made 1873 to 1875. Top of barrel is stamped "NEW MODEL". Military inspector stamp "M". Top of barrel is stamped with Navy anchor. A totally of 4,344 were purchased by the Navy. CONDITION: Octagon barrel is a blend of blue and gun metal grey with 20% finish. Loading lever and frame are basically a soft patina with freckling. Cylinder has cleaned to silver, in the white. Very good to excellent grips with no visible cartouche. The loading lever catch is missing. Indexes but does not advance cylinder. Well-defined rifling with usual abrasion.
