This revolver has full or matching serial numbers on frame, barrel, trigger guard, backstrap, cylinder post and cylinder. Wedge not numbered. Round barrel has New York address. Cylinder has Naval battle scene and all original nipples. CONDITION: Traces of case colors on left side of frame. Cylinder scene is complete but soft in some areas. Safety pins are worn. "6" stamped on face of cylinder and trigger guard. "D" under barrel. Barrel wedge screw is missing. Some one has wiped a browning solution over entire barrel and cylinder surface giving it a soft chocolate appearance, but markings are extremely sharp and this can be removed. No visible colors on lever, hammer colors have darkened. Oil finish walnut stocks are proud to metal with two kill notches on right side. Nice, clean and strong bore. Action indexes and locks up tight. A far above average and rare 861 Navy that would be enhanced by removing the brown finish.
