Manufactured 1862. This example is Martially marked with "J" on barrel and frame, "C" on frame. Grips have cartouche on left side. Features octagon barrel, solid top strap, all iron with brass trigger guard. CONDITION: Finish is basically soft brown-grey patina with areas of age freckling. Sharp legends. Grips are fine. Indexes correctly. Strong rifling with black powder abrasion.
