Rare & Important Gustav Stickley Hexagonal Leather Top Library Table, Model No. 625, (later model No. 410-L) in quarter sawn oak with fine original finish and original leather top with all of its original tacks in place. Early form with hexagonal top over arched aprons. Mortise and tenon construction with keyed through tenons, stacked trumpet stretchers notched with a central faceted peg and gently tapered feet. Signed with early "Eastwood" paper label underneath of "Grand Rapids Furniture Co. New York" retailer's label. Circa 1905, Eastwood, NY. Original leather top is distressed from age and use with lifting and cracking. Original finish has some light scratches and wear consistent with age and use. 30.25"H 48"W side to side, 55"W point to point. Provenance: Michael Carey Gallery, SoHo, NYC
