Gun (A) is an Ithaca double barrel shotgun. Damascus barrels have been cut to 20" and has double exposed hammers, pistol grip checkered walnut stock, checkered splinter forend, boxlock, double triggers. There is a repaired 2" crack at wrist on left side, otherwise wood is in excellent condition. It is here that modern artistry has entered the picture; the modern day workman cut the barrels off to stagecoach length. "WF&CO" has been stamped into the left barrel, as well as the base of the frame. A modern made gold shield has been attached at the upper wrist, nicely done, "PROPRERTY OF WELLS FARGO EXPRESS SAN FRANCISCO DIVISION". They then stamped on the left of the stock "SPECIAL AGENT NED BLAIR NO. 83". On the right side is stamped "WELLS FARGO & CO", beautifully done in half circular pattern. CONDITION: Boxlock has light engraving and 20% case colors. Clean bores. Locks up tight. The crack, once easily repaired, would make this a fun shotgun to shoot and with all the special modern embellishments make for a very handsome reproduction of a Wells Fargo shotgun. Lest what has been said sounds confusing, all the of the Wells Fargo markings and embellishments are modern and not original to the gun in any way. Gun (B) is a Quackenbush in reproduction box. Entirely nickel plated with skeletal stock. CONDITION: 75-80% overall nickel with freckling. Poor bore.
