Lock is marked in an arch SPRINGFIELD, no other markings on lock. 1807 date on the top of the barrel along with inspectors markings. Date on buttplate is illegible. Appears to have been reconverted to flintlock utilizing some original and reproduction parts. Reproduction ramrod. CONDITION: All metal surfaces cleaned bright with some areas of pitting. Good as reconverted. Stock has been refinished and shows evidence of having had some repaired cracks. The lock fit is a bit loose, and the rear lock screw is a little too long causing the hammer to hang up when fired, needs attention.
