Manufactured in 1942. Features include; Long frame, round pencil barrel with dovetailed inverted V front sight, U notch rear sight on rear toggle link. Wide grip safety. Plastic checkered grips. Eight round detachable box magazine. Manufactured by Waffenfabrik Bern for commercial and military sales in Switzerland. Total number manufactured was 29,857. Gun has a distinctive step down on the front of the receiver. Full serial number on the rear edge of barrel left side of frame and on the rear toggle link. Has brown plastic checkered grips and brown plastic magazine bottom. Swiss cross in shield on the center toggle link. Made for commercial sales in Switzerland to help bear the cost of making their military pistols. The P prefix on the serial number stood for Privat- non-military or commercial. CONDITION: Great bore with sharp lands and grooves. Gun retains 98% of the original factory blue finish. Comes in an M.BISLER BERN Swiss leather holster with the shoulder straps and extra magazine.
